A technology-driven coffee farm and research institute in Monte Santo de Minas, Brazil. The farm estate is 900 – 1100 meters above sea level and covers 1,976 hectares in between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest biomes. Mio is set up with intentionality everywhere. Careful measurement and innovation are being proven in every field. 100% of the farm utilizes cover crops. This conserves water and benefits the soil. But here they’re also experimenting with microorganisms to help the plants be healthier, make the coffee taste better, and keep agricultural challenges at bay. Mió is committed to bringing regenerative agroforestry to the chemical-fueled powerhouse coffee industry in Brazil.
